The combination the processes of yoga and hypnosis result in a method of hypnotherapy that heightens awareness. HypnoYoga reaches depths of relaxation and heighten awareness which difficult to achieve with regular yoga because it allows you to speak directly to your subconscious while your senses are sharp.
YOGA NIDRA
I also teach classes in Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra originated in India for the purpose of increasing awareness of oneself. The expansion of consciousness is a never-ending and compounding experience. The more you practice Yoga Nidra, the more extensive your awareness will become. Yoga Nidra means "yogic sleep" although it is not sleep. It is a state of conscious deep sleep. he three states of consciousness are waking, dreaming and deep sleep, With meditation, you remain in the waking state of consciousness, and gently focus the mind, while allowing thought patterns, emotions, sensations, and images to arise. In Yoga Nidra, one leaves the waking state, goes beyond the dreaming state and goes to a conscious deep sleep, but remains awake through out the whole process. With Yoga Nidra one benefits spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. Yoga Nidra is achieved while one reclines in a comfortable chair and wearing comfortable clothes.
